Kaufmann Foundation FastTrac Offered in Salina
Owning your own business is the American dream. Building it to withstand the test of time requires a unique set of tools. That’s where FastTrac NewVenture makes a difference by providing the opportunity to start your business with the right tools.
FastTrac® New Venture is one of the programs of the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, the world’s largest foundation devoted to entrepreneurship. FastTrac® participants spend 30 hours over 10 weeks meeting with experienced entrepreneurs, local professionals and business coaches. “ They will also spend as much time outside the formal sessions developing their complete business plan,” according to Phyll Klima, certified FastTrac® facilitator and serial entrepreneur. “FastTrac® sets entrepreneurs up for success – even before they open their doors.”
Registration is open on a first come basis. Registration fee is $200/individual. All sessions will be held from 6 – 9 pm at the Salina Area Chamber of Commerce, 120 W Ash Street, Salina, KS 67401. Classes run on Wednesdays from February 23 to April 27.
FastTrac® New Venture is offered through Salina’s entrepreneur program, Project Open. Project OPEN provides entrepreneurial education and business support to entrepreneurs who already own or want to start a business in Saline County. Applicants must reside in Saline County Kansas or own a small business in Salina Kansas.
This program, in part, is made possible by funds from the Kansas Rural Business Development Tax Credit Program as administered by the Kansas Department of Commerce and as invested by the North Central Kansas Community Network Co.
